We are the controller of the personal information described here. That means we decide how it's used and we're responsible for looking after it.
What we collect through our enquiry forms
When you fill in an enquiry form on our website, we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number (optional)
- details about your event, such as the occasion, date, venue or location, approximate guest numbers, the FNK line-ups you're interested in and anything else you choose to tell us
- how you heard about FNK (optional)
Please don't include sensitive information (such as health details) in your message unless it's needed for your event.
How we use it
We use your details to:
- reply to your enquiry and check our availability
- send you a tailored proposal if you ask for one
- plan and deliver your event if you book with us
- understand how people find us, so we can improve our website and marketing
We'll only use your details to reply to your enquiry and look after your booking. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.
We never sell your personal information.
Our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we must have a lawful basis for using your information.
- Taking steps before a contract: when you ask us about a booking, we use your details to reply and prepare a proposal.
- Contract: if you book with us, we use your details to deliver the event you've booked.
- Legitimate interests: we use the "how did you hear about FNK?" answer to understand which channels work for us. We keep this light and it doesn't override your rights.
- Consent: we only use non-essential cookies with your consent (see Cookies below).
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the service providers that help us run FNK. They may only use it on our instructions.
- Squarespace hosts our website and stores form submissions.
- TO DO: email provider for info@fnkband.com delivers and stores our email.
- Google provides reCAPTCHA, which protects our forms from spam. TO DO: confirm whether form entries are also saved to a Google Sheet
If you book with us, we may share the event details that are needed (such as the date, venue and timings) with the musicians and crew who perform at your event.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States.
Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards that UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge.
How long we keep it

After that we delete your information or anonymise it.
Cookies and analytics
Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which uses cookies. Cookies are small files saved on your device.
- Essential cookies keep the website working and secure. They don't need your consent.
- Analytics cookies tell us, in general terms, how visitors use our website (for example, which pages are popular). We use this to improve the site.
- Advertising cookies help us understand whether our social media advertising works. Meta Pixel (Facebook). TO DO: confirm any other analytics or advertising tools.
We only set analytics and advertising cookies if you agree to them. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on our website or through your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it
- object to how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first at info@fnkband.com or 020 3062 4040.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
